Northwestern Connecticut has its own identity, and challenges. At the same time, we are neighbors with common cause. That is why the Train Campaign, before the pandemic, worked to support rail revival efforts in the Nutmeg State. (It’s also called the Constitution State.)
In conjunction with the Train Time podcast, we’re off to Connecticut again and will host an open online meeting (Microsoft Teams) in early March. We’re also hosting a smaller planning session online next week, Wednesday February 12 at 5.30pm. We’ll talk about the potential for electric train service between Canaan and Pittsfield, renewal of the line between the Metro-North Danbury and Waterbury branches, and New Milford and Danbury developments. These are meetings, not webinars, and we aim to keep them friendly, informal, and productive—like the 2018 meeting in New Milford pictured below.
