I grew up in Connecticut, in a rural part of the state (Northwest Hills), but haven’t lived there since graduating high school.

Unfortunately YIMBYs are going to have an uphill battle in CT. Unlike California, which have large wealthy cities that are in high demand, in CT the wealth and power is almost entirely in the suburbs. Unlike SF or LA, there is little demand from the middle class to live in the city limits of Hartford and Bridgeport.

The people who stand most to benefit from looser zoning in CT live in NYC, who would move to the CT suburbs in Fairfield County if it were cheaper. Sadly Lamont doesn’t have to care about their preferences.

Pedestrian and car deaths by trains is rarely reported particularly in aggregation.
